With the crisp air moving in, football season is just around the corner. 43 Truck was out placing the flags on the uprights at the home of the Vikings. Blacklick Valley starts their season off at home on Saturday, September 4th at 1 PM. And yes, that is grass you can see in the ENTIRE endzone....Good luck for a successful season.

At approximately 1630 hrs on Wednesday, August 25, 2010 the station was alerted for a vehicle accident with multiple rollover along the 3000 Block of Ben Franklin Hwy (SR 422), Blacklick Township. Additional reports came in, while the Rescue was on the road, with four vehicles involved and one vehicle on fire. Engine 2 responded as soon as the update was received. Crews arrived on scene to find a total of four vehicles involved, with two vehicles rolled over, and one roll over vehicle involved with a secondary T-bone style collision. The crews stabilized the vehicles and performed hazard control. EMS handled patient care for the multiple patients. Also on scene was Blacklick EMS, Ebensburg EMS, and PSP. SR 422 remained closed until the damaged vehicles were removed from the roadway. The crew from the Rescue also handled a minor vehicle accident nearby during the incident.
